Let the Adventures Begin...
Regular 9 - 5 jobs have never quite sat right with me. When it comes to making an income, I tend to sit somewhere outside the box of the normal hum-drum. I’ve sought alternatives to paying my bills, so I can enjoy my adventures. That’s always been the plan anyway.
My husband has always had a watch fetish which amused me, and I never really understood. I explored reviewing and recommending sports and diver's watches in my search for my alternative income. I never imagined I’d fall in love with them, but here I am - definitely mesmerized.
I felt something similar when I received my first smartphone. (Yes it was an iphone but I don’t want to be judged here anymore than necessary). I couldn’t believe a cell phone could be any more than just that, until I got my first smart phone. Ooh!
The same thing’s happened now with watches, except I actually started with dive computers. My husband scuba dived (dove?) in the late 1980s. Back then you had to rely on your dive tables and divers watch to keep you safe. None of these new fangled dive computers!
So I started researching diver's watches. After spending many hours exploring the more popular brands, I discovered dive computers. It seemed like a natural progression to delve into the world of diving computers. This is when I fell in love. Not only are these babies good looking, but they’re designed to keep you safe as well. Double bonus, everyone wins.
The more I researched, the more I admire these beauties. Their designs, functionality, engineering, and workmanship! I also greatly admire the adventurous souls who get to use them.
So, always safety first, but what a great way to pay some bills?! Help keep people safe by recommending quality products. That gives me the warm and fuzzies. I'm never going to recommend a poor quality product, something that's unsafe or simply doesn't do what it's designed to do.
This was my story, and it was all well and good until my sons were given a full face snorkel mask each for Christmas 2016. Of course, my husband and I had to give them a go. Now these are an innovation, without doubt.
My scuba loving husband couldn't get over how much fun these are. He, of course, prefers the more expensive end of the spectrum as they're made from high quality materials, look more professional and very much like the full face SCUBA masks that are available. My kids love their mid-price range ones, full stop. There's a lot of cheap and nasty brands, and there's a whole bunch of good ones. If I can guide people towards the better ones, which in turn means they're going to have a great time and not waste their money on rubbish, then I'm good. Works for me!
That's what I'm about. So there you have it.
That’s about me.
